Since its formation in 1858, the GA has actively promoted the study of geology to all who are interested in the past, present and future of the natural world. It is a friendly and inclusive organisation and welcomes everyone, regardless of the level of their knowledge.
The offices of the Geologists’ Association are co-located with those of the Geological Society in central London. We can be found at Burlington House, Piccadilly (entrance to the right of the archway as you face the building). Nearest underground stations: Piccadilly and Green Park. For general correspondence, enquiries about membership, funding and other matters, please email the Executive Secretary at sarah@geologistsassociation.org.uk.
The society is governed by a Council of up to 24 members and administered by the Executive Secretary and an administrative assistant. The GA has a diverse membership, drawn from all over the UK and overseas, including full members and students and institutional supporters.
